Vomo Island Resort is an idyllic and prestigious vacation destination in Fiji and the entire resort was reportedly booked by Madonna for one of her private South Pacific holiday getaways (that’s how exclusive it is!)
See www.vomofiji.com
JD was asked to increase occupancy at this upmarket resort and the focus was particularly on New Zealand holiday-makers, as past history had shown that New Zealanders found the island easy to get to and an ideal relaxation location.
When looking at the resort’s website, JD noted that there were no video testimonials from satisfied guests, nor was there sufficient focus on the resort’s incredible food fare (cooked by a well reknowned super-chef!)
JD has never been able to understand why resorts and hotels don’t exploit the “video testimonial angle,” given the significance that the likes of Trip Advisor plays these days for vacation destinations!
He advises all hospitality business (that’s restaurants, hotels and resorts!) to take advantage of “customer video testimonials” on their websites and other collateral.
So he immediately went about capturing lots of glowing video testimonials from ecstatic guests and upgraded the website to include these and more references to the quality of food on the island.
(The resort has since been sold and the new owners have minimised some of these direct response features would you believe!)
JD negotiated with the NZ Herald Newspaper to provide them with 4 prizes of Vomo Island Holidays in return for a gigantic, unbelievable broadsheet wraparound of this upmarket newspaper! (See photographs here.)
The result was that the resort was booked out for 3 months with this incredible exposure.
Similarly, he organised the same sort of exposure with an upmarket Gold Coast, Australia, magazine, namely the Life Magazine.
Such publicity was gained at no cost (except for the free holiday giveaways) and the resort enjoyed its highest occupancy levels of the year! (i.e. Booked out for months!)
Just goes to show that free publicity is out there everywhere if you know “how to wow” and “how to get it!”
“The figures speak for themselves. Before we became part of John’s “wow environment”, our annual profit was about $120,000 a year.
Within 18 months of being involved with John’s coaching ideas, our profit within 18 months, grew to an annual rate of $440,000 a year!
That increased the value of our business fourfold – an outstanding result!
His system is applicable to any business-type.”
